Roma Murthy will now lead the service focused Rotary Club of Troy taking over from Presient Mahendra Kenkre. Murthy has been very active at the Rotary District level promoting growth and membership retention. In addition, Roma Murthy has been instrumental in leading and organizing numerous Womens panels including a recent event with Rotary International Past President Jennifer Jones, the first woman President of Rotary International.
Recently, Roma Murthy was the reciepent of the District Sylvia Whitlock award which recgonizes women who have achieved success in the both the Rotary world and non Rotary.
In addition to being President of the Rotary Club of Troy, Murthy is testing her entrepreneurial talents and has lauched a new business which focues on Program Management, Product Planning, Sales and Marketing efficiencies and Staffing.
Troy Rotary meets Wednesday's at 11:45 at 2600 W. Big Beaver Road in Troy, with interesting speakers and service projects. Rotary brings together great friends, good food, shared beliefs, respect for the individual differences of others, a need to give back to the community and interesting weekly speakers and presentations. Troy, Rotarians live the motto of "Service Above Self" the motto that strengthens Rotarians to address the challenges in today's world.
