Women business owners share their passion and entrepreneurial journey to successful ownership

Troy, MI – Green Olive Soaps of Troy will debut “Ladies Who Launch,” a free social networking and learning event on Friday, August 16 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at its Troy store location.

“Ladies Who Launch” highlights women business owners in Metro Detroit. Each event features a guest speaker, who will share her personal story about the journey to business ownership.

The inaugural event spotlights Tenita Johnson – a successful speaker, book coach, and best-selling author – who will discuss how she transformed pain into purpose. As the author of 23 books, seven of which have been Amazon bestsellers, she is living proof that sharing your story leads to destiny. Johnson has triumphed over suicidal thoughts, depression, low self-esteem, marital storms, and blended family woes. She has also endured miscarriages and the still birth of twins the day after she married her husband. Each of these tragedies has added indelible layers to her resilience on her path to success.

“I wanted to create an opportunity for people to learn from each other, and for businesses owners like me to share their personal experiences on the path to business ownership,” said Rice. “Ladies Who Launch embraces the spirit of hard-working, tenacious women who can persevere and teach us that life’s obstacles are just temporary redirects to success.”

About Green Olive Soaps

Green Olive Soaps began as a start-up after founder Camilla Rice spent months researching and trying common bath products to help soothe the skin issues plaguing her two young children.  Rice, who is a full-time automotive engineer, took matters into her own hands crafting soaps using the skills and experience learned as an engineer. Rice founded Green Olive Soaps in 2016 and has since grown the minority-owned business into a full-line of vegan, organic, and cruelty-free luxury skincare products for women, men, and children.
