Dr. Anita Hicks has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Woman of the Year by the Michigan Diversity Council! This recognition

reflects the incredible impact she has made both at OU and through her extensive work with regional, national, and international organizations.

Anita has consistently been at the forefront, leading initiatives that champion equality and inclusion, and driving real change for women and underrepresented communities. We are celebrating her passion, dedication, and leadership.

She will officially accept this well-deserved award at the Michigan Women in Leadership Symposium on March 19, 2024, at the International Banquet & Conference Center in Detroit, MI
