“We know that inflation and shortages have hit already-struggling families especially hard this year,” said CEO and President Tom Dluzen. “So we really wanted to help out local families in a big, yet practical way.”
Team members at each Chief branch contributed all year to various fundraising activities, like participating in “Jean Day.” Thanks to their generosity, Chief was able to purchase and donate over $1,500 in gift cards to a variety of stores. Those gift cards were then donated to local charities HAVEN and Neighborhood House.
“It’s such an honor to how much our team cares about helping out the community,” Dluzen added, “These gift cards will help people wherever they need it most, from food and clothing to gas.”
HAVEN is Oakland County’s only comprehensive program for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, providing shelter, counseling, advocacy and educational programming.
Neighborhood House offers assistance in several ways to members of the Rochester community, such as a food pantry, clothes closet, financial assistance, educational services and more.
