Description

  • Available Positions: 1-2 positions
  • Role: Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the camp and for assuring the care, safety, and protection of campers. 
  • Job Duration: June 9, 2025 - August 22, 2025 
  • This can be an individual or shared position (two Directors would work opposite weeks) 
  • 40 hours a week 
  • Required In-Person Training (Plymouth): April 4, 2025 - April 6, 2025

Requirements

Qualities Needed

General

  • Ability to effectively oversee all daily camp operations and report to Owners
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of camp program and planning
  • Proven ability to create a nurturing and supportive environment for children
  • Confident speaker in front of groups of children, parents and staff

Specific

  • Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree
  • If you do not possess a Bachelor's Degree, relevant work experience will be considered.
  • Classroom or camp management experience 
  • At least 3 years camp experience, some preferably in administration

Responsibilities

General

  • Set standards for camp program
  • Track program progress / identify growth areas 
  • Facilitate the planning and execution of camp activities
  • Coordination and supervising camp staff

Specific

  • Plan and conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions  
  • Coordinate weekly schedule of camp employees
  • Run and evaluate after-care programs
  • Understand and lead emergency procedures
  • Nurture and build parent relationships 
  • Implement behavior management plans and navigate behavior issues
  • Inventory and purchase camp supplies 
  • Manage incoming parent communication 
  • Maintain relationship with licensing consultant
  • Oversee diverse needs / medication distribution 
  • Maintain accurate program records including daily incident / accident reports 
  • Manage any suspicions of child abuse. Report to owners and follow necessary steps. 
  • Attend all camp functions
