Qualifications
This position requires individuals to have excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for excellent customer service. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong verbal & written communication skills and be willing to learn classroom technology. Training & support will be provided. Candidates will be required to regularly perform physical work and be able to lift heavy items including tables, chairs, AV equipment, boxes, etc.
Typical Daily Tasks
- Interacting with MEC clientele and conference center staff.
- Reading and interpreting Banquet Event Orders.
- Physical setup of conference room tables & chairs for day & evening classes.
- Monitoring & adjusting facility heating, cooling & lighting systems.
- Setting up and testing of classroom instructional equipment including computers, projectors, monitors, cameras, sound systems, microphones, and similar equipment.
- Greeting & assisting clients with setting up, testing and use of technology.
- Operating video conference camera & sound equipment for Zoom & MS Teams sessions.
- Monitoring & adjusting of lecture capture recording systems.
- Organizing & maintaining technology equipment.
- Daily administrative tasks including light cleaning & maintenance as needed.
