Troy City Lifestyle Magazine is pleased to announce that Julie Flores, a seasoned editor and publisher, has joined the publication as Editorial Coordinator.
Launched this year, Troy City Lifestyle is the only luxury publication in Troy, delivering hyper-local, expertly curated content to high-net-worth individuals, homes and businesses in the community. While the print magazine is the showpiece, the medium also features a digital platform, social media pushes, networking and events designed to grow small businesses and build brands.
Julie will focus on developing content for the print and digital versions of the magazine, while coordinating writers, photographers and content creators. A creative ideator, she has built a successful career through her talent for creating new ways of solving problems and building brands.
She brings nearly 30 years of print and digital expertise to the publication, working for such media as Valpak, Patch.com, Perfect Wedding Guide and the Wedding Information Network (now called the Knot), an American media and technology company that provides content for couples planning a wedding.
Julie has extensive knowledge of the Troy business community. For two years, she served as Director of Membership for the Troy Chamber of Commerce, where she focused on membership growth by bringing aboard new members and upgrading current members to higher levels of membership.
A member of the Troy Chamber of Commerce for more than 20 years, she now serves as a Chamber Ambassador, welcoming and educating new members as well as providing existing members with ongoing support.
Julie will continue as owner of For Your Benefit Marketing, where she provides promotional products and gifts such as apparel, awards and gifts, event/trade show supplies and marketing materials. This marketing expertise blends well with her role with the magazine.
“I don’t know which I love more – guiding companies with their growth or the Troy business community,” says Julie. “This new role will put all of my energies and passions together. What a perfect combination! Come join us and be a part of all that’s great in Troy.”
Publisher Todd Haight agrees. “I am so thrilled to have Julie on our team. Julie is deeply entrenched in the Troy business community, and she has a genuine commitment to helping small businesses grow and succeed. That’s also our mission of the magazine, so it’s a terrific match of our values. We’re excited to help boost the brand of the City of Troy further into the luxury market.”
