Press Release
Busted Bra Shop
Continues its Growth, Opens Second Chicago Location
Detroit, MI – Detroit-born Busted
Bra Shop has continued its expansion in Michigan and Illinois over the last
three years, closing on the purchase of Bras Galore in the Lincoln Park
neighborhood of Chicago last week. “I recently decided I wanted to sell the
store and pursue other opportunities. As I was looking for a purchaser, I
wanted someone I knew would serve our current customers with the same passion
for the right fit and respect for all of the various shapes and sizes of
bra-wearing clientele. I am positive I found that with Lee and Busted Bra
Shop,” said Kathy Bonifas, the founder and owner of Bras Galore for the past 7
years.
While the company didn’t have
plans to expand after opening two new stores during the pandemic, Lee Padgett,
the founder and CEO of Busted Bra Shop realized that the opportunity was too
good to pass up. “Bras Galore was the perfect location, expanding our footprint
from our Hyde Park location on the South Side to Lincoln Park on the North
Side. Kathy and her staff have the same commitment to serving a wide range of
customers, and helping them to feel comfortable and self-confident in whatever
skin they’re in.”
With the new store, which will be
reopening on August 10, 2022 under the Busted name, Busted Bra Shop will have
six locations: its flagship Jefferson-Chalmers store and Cadillac Place (New
Center) in Detroit, the Village of Rochester Hills, Ann Arbor (Eisenhower
Parkway), Hyde Park, Chicago and Lincoln Park, Chicago.
