TROY, Mich., Oct.
27, 2022 — Innovative Learning Group, Inc. (ILG), a performance-first
learning company, announced today that Devon Merz has joined the company as an
augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) development lead.
“ILG has had significant growth in working with our
clients to provide custom AR and VR learning solutions,” says Senior Director
of Technology and Visual Design Matt Kurtin. “In addition to developing our AR
and VR solutions, Devon will help guide our strategy in offering these
technology options to our clients.”
Merz brings to ILG his vast experience in designing and
implementing strategic digital solutions across a wide range of industries,
including aerospace, automotive,
education, energy, healthcare, telecommunications, and utilities. Most
recently, he worked at the Houston office of the Boston Consulting Group
as a consultant focused on digital transformation. He also served as the lead software engineer in the Englebretson
computer-vision lab at Rice University.
Merz is an XR
Terra Certified Developer and active member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers). He graduated from Rice University in
Houston, Texas, with honors, receiving a bachelor’s degree in electrical and
computer engineering, a minor in business, and a distinction in research.
Merz has relocated from Texas and will be working from
ILG’s corporate headquarters in Troy.
