Beaumont Health’s Board of Directors Appoints Two New Directors

Nelson has more than 20 years of senior executive experience. She currently serves as Director, Michigan Programs, for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, an international $7.5 billion endowed private foundation. In this role, she oversees approximately $70 million of state-wide annual grantmaking, associated operations, finance, strategic planning, collaborations and staff. She was previously a corporate Vice President at DTE Energy and also served as Board Chair and President of the DTE Energy Foundation and President and CEO of the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy. A native Detroiter, Nelson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Mercy College of Detroit and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit School of Law. Faye was recently recognized as a 2022 Michiganian of The Year.

Little, who has more than 25 years of experience providing transformational healthcare leadership in both for profit and non-profit health systems, managed care, government, community health, and private sector consulting, is currently President of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of the Neighborhood Service Organization. In this role, she spearheads efforts that close gaps for vulnerable populations and improve lives in affected communities, serving more than more than 10,000 people. She previously served as Chief Clinical Officer for Total Health Care. And, she has held leadership roles at multiple health systems including Henry Ford Health and the Detroit Medical Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Detroit-Mercy and her Master of Business Administration in Organizational Development from Wayne State University. Linda was honored as one of Crain’s Detroit Business’ 100 Most Influential Women in Michigan in 2021.

Beaumont Health Board Chair Christopher Blake said. Beaumont Health is a division of BHSH System, the new health system created earlier this year when Beaumont Health and Spectrum Health joined together.
