Politics at Work: The Dos and Don'ts

“Can you sit out politics at work?” Navigating political conversations or politically charged topics at the office requires finesse. This year is sure to be a year full of debates, politics advertisements and heightened tensions as our country elects the next President of the United States.

In this month's meeting, Mayor of Troy, Ethan Baker will discuss the dos and dont's of handling politics in the workplace. Topics covered in this session include:

  • How to use active listening and empathy to validate others.
  • Learn from a legal perspective what topics should remain off limits.
  • Encourage healthy discourse without supporting full debates.

About the presenter: Mayor Ethan Baker

Ethan has been a principled and dedicated public servant, committed to a robust and growing business environment, along with safe and community centered-neighborhoods for individuals and families.
