About the Speakers: Zoe Compton, LMSW & Jenny Hoggatt, LMSW
Zoe Compton, LMSW
Zoe Compton is a Licensed Master Of Social Work (LMSW), who received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Wayne State University. After Wayne State University, she went on to Michigan State University to complete a master’s degree in Macro Social Work in 2017. She specializes in community organization, clinical practice, and interventions that support suicidal and self-harming adolescents. With training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Zoe has a set of tools to help children and adults tolerate distress, regulate emotions, and become more mindful, to prevent mental health crises.
Jenny Hoggatt, LMSW
Jenny has been working in the field of social
work as a therapist, assessment specialist, and mental health consultant for
many years. Jenny worked for 4 years prior to her graduate work doing home
visiting in a prevention program regarding early abuse and neglect. She graduated
from Wayne State University in 2011 with her Masters of Social Work and
obtained her full license in 2014. Jenny came to EastersealsMORC in 2016 as a
Trauma Assessment Specialist. She recently entered the mental health consultant
role in which she helps members of the community and school systems learn how
to best address the mental health and trauma challenges they face in their
everyday settings.
