Troy’s Summer Sensation Concert Series Returns

The Troy Summer Concert Series is back!  Boulan Park on Crooks Road between Big Beaver and Wattles Roads will be the backdrop for some fabulous music on select Thursdays this summer. Stay after work, grab a bite to eat, and listen to music from 6:30-8:30pm. Bring lawn chairs or blankets and relax with friends as a variety of music fills the air. Food will be available from Cousins Maine Lobster Food Truck starting at 5:30 pm and there are plenty of picnic tables. Food trucks are subject to change.

August 11: Thornetta Davis - DETROIT'S QUEEN OF THE BLUES

The official “Detroit’s Queen of Blues” Thornetta Davis is a six-time National Blues Music Award Nominee, including two for the 2021 BMAs for “Best Soul/Blues female and Best instrumentalists/vocals. She is a 2021 Jus’ Blues Foundation Award Recipient, and a 2018 Kresge Fellowship Awardee.  Her CD Honest Woman, which she wrote and produced, has won over 30 Detroit Music Awards including eight DMAs in 2017. Thornetta’s live performances will leave you feeling uplifted and asking for more. She is supported by some of the best musicians all hailing from Detroit, MI.
